Ken Young / Director of Operations, Owner & Founder

Upon finishing his college degree Ken completed his certification in Electrical Engineering. Some years later Ken moved to Perth from Melbourne where he commenced a new career path and passion in the Retail Industry. Ken soon worked his way up through Regional & State Management roles then progressing to National Retail Sales & Operational roles for well known National & Global brands

Since 1999 Ken has gained extensive experience in Property through Retail and Commercial Leasing transactions, as well as project management of Design & Shop fitting. In addition Ken holds a Real Estate License, and has extensive knowledge in the areas of Procurement. It is this vast understanding within these services which provides 1stepproperty the capacity to manage a high volume of successful projects and acquisitions for their clients, from sourcing the required sites throughout AUS & NZ, property sales, commercial negotiations, and document review through to turn key handover.

Shae Bowd / Company Secretary & Administration

Shae commenced her Receptionist & Administrative roles in Sydney for companies such as Kleimwort Benson / Kleimwort Hattersly, and Estee Lauder. Upon moving to Perth for a sea change Shae continued her employment with reputable companies such as Bennett & Co, (Martin Bennett) Forbes & Fitzhardinge Arhitectual Planners, and Norwich Union (now Aviva). After enjoying approx 8 years in Perth Shae moved to Melbourne to begin a family where her employment continued for legal firms such as Phillips Fox. Shae came to 1stepproperty with excellent references from all of the above mentioned and with a background & experience that compliment’s our other company members. Shae has been a valued employee of 1stepproperty for over 5 years now with a natural ability to deal with an erray of people.

David Ardnt / Director of Finance

David is a qualified and certified CPA, completing his degree at Swinburne University. Throughout his finance career David has held many senior positions such as Director of Finance, Chief Financial Officer & General Manager for numerous reputable companies with turnovers exceeding $350m. Such roles included detailed divisional financial reporting to Group International offices whilst having 20+ direct staff reports on performance accountability. David brings a wealth of knowledge to 1stepproperty board with his previous roles and extensive finance background and experience.

Penny Kinsella / Design & Architectual Services to 1stepproperty

Penny completed her Bachelor of Architecture at RMIT Melbourne, since commencing her business of approximately 15 years, Pennt has designed and completed working drawings for more than 50 1step projects in the past 8 or so years. Penny has a great understanding of clients needs and a great work ethic. Some of the many well known brands include: Ferguson Plarre, Timberland, AFL Stores, Man To Man, Brown Sugar, STA Travel, Central News Agency Outlets, as well as various commercial projects such as Laser Eye Clinics and components of the Telstra Dome such as the Gymnasium, now Etihad Stadium.
